About
Jon Andersen
Jon Andersen, from Glenview, IL, is a researcher, writer, and musician. For him music is more than a passion, it is a source of inspiration and healing—motivational, uplifting, and curative. He grew up in the Midwest, where he learned to play the guitar and early on became a musical disciple of Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Chuck Berry, and The Rolling Stones. He went on to become a creative member of rock and country bands in various parts of the U.S. After several years, he decided to hang up his guitars and pursued a career in research and publishing, during which time he has received awards from nationally recognized media organizations. Today, as a lifelong guitar player, songwriting enthusiast, and music devotee, and current principal and researcher at William Blair, he fuses his passion for music and melody, mission-driven enterprises and marketing. More specific, he consults with consumer companies focused on health and wellness and sustainability. In addition, Jon composes music and has had songs produced in Nashville by Bill McDermott, the 2022 Josie Music Awards Producer of the Year; and performed by artists such as Adam Cunningham, recording artist and season 13 of the Voice on NBC semi-finalist, and Tania Hancheroff, studio vocalist whose recording credits include Sheryl Crow, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Garth Brooks.
